Sarah E. Liggett

Growing up Sarah E. Liggett watched her father help people through their legal challenges with care and compassion. Sarah knew early in her life that practicing law would offer her the same ability to assist citizens in her community with their legal matters. After completing law school at the University of Kansas, Sarah returned to her hometown to pursue her legal career. Immediately following her graduation from law school, Sarah served as a law clerk for one year before joining the firm in 2006. Sarah’s practice includes family law, criminal defense and juvenile law matters including adoptions.
A true product of Fort Collins, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband, Jason and their two sons Emmett and Graham. When outside of the law office, you can find Sarah working in her garden, mastering new recipes in the kitchen, watching Jayhawk basketball or enjoying the local microbrewery culture. Sarah currently serves on the Board of Directors of Project Self Sufficiency and the Domestic Best Practices Committee for the 8th Judicial District. She is a member of the Larimer County Bar Association and the Larimer County Women’s Bar Association. Previously, Sarah served at the Chair and Vice-Chair for CASA of Larimer County.
What her clients say:
“My experience with Sarah was great. They were both kind, compassionate, and understanding during a really hard time. The outcome in court was almost exactly what I wanted and even the Judge complimented Sarah on how well she performed in court. I recommend Sarah Liggett to anyone that is in need of a family law attorney.” ~Shannon
